Biography abstract:
Henry Greig (1889 - 9/6/1974) was born in Scotland and settled in Perth, Western Australia in 1911.
His varied career included business manager and secretary of WA Newspapers Ltd, secretary of the Perth Tramways, senior positions with the Silver Chain Nursing Association and the YMCA.
From 1958-67 he was chairman and executive officer of the Red Cross Society.
In 1959 Henry Greig planted a Lace Bark tree (Brachychiton discolor) in Kings Park to commemorate the Red Cross centenary.
Mr Henry Greig was a member of the Western Australian Centenary Committee (Publicity group) in 1929.
