Biography abstract:
Ethel Rose Paterson Joyner (1873 - 29/2/1952) married Alfred Ernest Joyner in 1897, who was part owner and later managing director of Bon Marche department store, considered Perth's most elite shop at the time.
They lived in Rheola Street, West Perth and both she and her husband chaired the Kingsley Fairbridge Farm School Society in Western Australia and were active workers for the Fairbridge Farm School near Pinjarra.
Ethel also worked for the Silver Chain Nursing League, Children's Protection Society, Girl Guides Association, Young Women's Christian Association and the Young Australia League.
She also played a part in many other organisations such as the Women's Service Guilds, Town Planning Association and Cremation Society.
Mrs Ethel Rose Paterson Joyner was a member of the Western Australian Centenary Committee (Education, Ecclesiastical and Social group) in 1929.
