Biography abstract:
Mr Wallace Clubb (1885-1952) was born in New South Wales and went to Teachers' College there.
He held a position at Fort Street Model Public School, of preparing boys for the university matriculation.
In 1897, he was offered and accepted the position of senior assistant in the newly opened Perth Boys' School.
In 1898, he was offered Head Mastership of East Perth School and in 1901 he went on to be Head Master of Perth Boys' School. He was an inspector of schools by 1904.
In 1905, Mr Clubb was responsible in instituting schools of instructions for teachers. At this time he was also organised and greatly extended the evening continuation classes.
He was appointed Director of Education in 1929 and was a member of the Western Australian Centenary Committee (Education, ecclesiastical and social group).
