Biography abstract:
Mr John Shaw Pocklington (1881-10/10/1986) was born in Leicester, England.
After serving with the Australian Imperial Forces in World War One, he became advertising manager and director of Harris, Scarfe and Sandovers. He wrote 'The Sandovers Story - a potted history'.
He was on the Model Homes Committee and organised the Perth to Sydney bike ride in 1936.
Mr Pocklington was a member of the Western Australian Centenary Committee (Publicity group) in 1929.
