Biography abstract:

Carlyle Ferguson (April 1883 - September 1957) was born in New Zealand.

He worked as a clerk in Dunedin, while living with his widowed mother and married Prescilla Letitia Duke in 1911.

By 1917, he was living in Victoria and worked there as a journalist until at least 1926.

He moved to South Perth, Western Australia where he lived with his wife, son and daughter. He continued to work as a journalist, including editor of 'Truth' newspaper.

Mr Ferguson was a regular candidate at both state and federal elections, initially as an independent Liberal and later for the Australian All-Parties League.

Mr Carlyle Ferguson was a member of the Western Australian Centenary Committee (Publicity group) in 1929.
